Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about insurance, treatment, and recovery.

Do you accept No-Fault and Workers Compensation insurance?

Yes, we specialize in treating patients with No-Fault and Workers’ Compensation coverage. We handle all the billing and paperwork directly with the insurance carriers so you can focus entirely on your rehabilitation and recovery.

Do you handle Workers' Compensation cases?

Absolutely. We are authorized by the Workers’ Compensation Board to treat injured workers. We understand the complexities of these cases and handle all necessary paperwork to ensure your claim is processed correctly while providing top-tier care for your work-related injury.

Will physical therapy be painful?

Physical therapy should not be painful, though you may experience some muscle soreness as you work to strengthen weak areas. Our therapists will constantly monitor your comfort level and adjust exercises to ensure you are challenged but safe.

How soon after an accident should I seek treatment?

It is recommended to seek treatment as soon as possible, ideally within a few days of the accident. Early intervention can prevent minor injuries from becoming chronic conditions. Additionally, seeking immediate care documents your injuries, which is crucial for your insurance claim.

How long is a typical physical therapy session?

Initial evaluations typically last about 45-60 minutes. Follow-up treatment sessions usually last between 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your specific treatment plan and the exercises prescribed.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring your photo ID, insurance information (No-Fault or Workers’ Comp claim number if you have it), date of accident, and any police reports or incident reports related to your injury. If you have any MRI or X-ray reports, please bring those as well.

Do I need a prescription for no-fault physical therapy?

New York allows for ‘Direct Access’ to physical therapy for a limited time without a referral, but for No-Fault and Workers’ Compensation cases, a referral from a physician is often required. We can help coordinate this with your treating doctor.

How often will I need to come in?

Frequency depends on the severity of your injury. Most accident recovery plans start with 2-3 sessions per week to maximize healing and gradually decrease as you regain strength and function.
